Tips for caring for your hearing aids

Now that you have purchased your hearing aids and completed your fitting and orientation consultation with All Ears- you may require a recap of what was discussed. These are quick and easy tips to help you ensure your hearing aids operate optimally and last you longer:

o   Keep them clean:

Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe your hearing aids clean regularly. Avoid using water, alcohol, or cleaning solutions as they can damage the delicate components of the hearing aids.

o   Handle with care:

Always handle your hearing aids with clean and dry hands. Avoid dropping or exposing them to extreme temperatures or moisture.

o   Keep them dry:

Moisture can damage your hearing aids, so it's important to keep them dry. Remove them before taking a shower, swimming, or engaging in any water-related activities.

o   Store them properly:

When not in use, store your hearing aids in a dry, cool place in their protective case. Keep them away from children and pets.

o   Change the batteries regularly:

Follow the manufacturer's instructions on how to change the batteries. Use high-quality batteries and replace them when they run out of power.

o   Get them serviced regularly:

Have your hearing aids serviced at least once a year to ensure they are working optimally. You can arrange to drop them off at All Ears and we will do the rest keeping you in touch every step of the way!
